Look no further than The Boathouses at Canoe Place in Hamptons Bay. As members of Inspirato Pass, my family and I decided to seize the moment and explore a new destination. The Hamptons seemed like the perfect choice for us!
A Hidden Gem
The Boathouses at Canoe Place offer a total of 18 beautifully constructed residences, with more in progress for Summer 2023. These residences range from two to three stories, with two and three-bedroom configurations. Each unit is newly built, exuding a bright and open ambiance, enhanced by top-notch finishes.
During our stay, we opted for the Mariner Residence, a three-story haven with three bedrooms and three and a half baths, overlooking the pool and the serene Shinnecock Canal.
A Warm Welcome
Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable local Inspirato concierge. She warmly welcomed us and gave us a tour of our impeccable home. The fashionista in me couldn’t help but appreciate the beautiful furnishings and modern finishes that adorned the space. As a mom, I was thrilled to find everything impeccably clean, from the bedding and linens to the well-stocked kitchen and bathrooms.
Stunning Features
One of the highlights of these accommodations is the spacious balconies off two of the main bedrooms, as well as a patio off the main living area. Whether it was sipping morning coffee or enjoying a delightful dinner alfresco, these outdoor spaces provided the perfect setting.
The house was equipped with modern kitchen appliances, a washing machine, and ample bathrooms for everyone’s convenience. We even found family board games that added extra fun to our relaxing days spent at the residence.
Bedrooms that Wow
The Boathouses at Canoe Place boast three bedrooms, each with its own en suite. The master bedroom on the third floor treated us to picturesque views, while the second floor offered another master bedroom and a cozy bunk room. The balconies off the main bedrooms added an extra touch of luxury to our stay.
Wonderful Amenities
We discovered delightful amenities at Canoe Place, including a small gym and a refreshing pool, perfect for those days when we wanted to unwind and enjoy the surroundings without venturing too far.
Exploring the Hamptons
While visiting the Hamptons, we quickly realized that each area was quite spread out, making it necessary to drive to reach different destinations. Although the region lacked many hotels or resorts, we appreciated the allure of renting homes in South Hampton, East Hampton, West Hampton, or Montauk. The locals’ desire to maintain the privacy of this magnificent destination was certainly understandable.
Pros and Cons
While our stay at The Boathouses at Canoe Place was almost perfect, there was one minor setback – the location. Exploring beyond South Hampton required considerable travel time due to heavy traffic. However, the local area near the Boathouses offered a few excellent restaurants and a charming marina.
Exceptional Value with Inspirato Pass
As Inspirato Pass members, we booked our three-night stay in the “Mariner” residence, utilizing 44 pass days. Each pass day is valued at approximately $75, meaning we received over $3,300 in value from our pass membership. Considering the going rate for the property was over $8,200, this represented well over 250% value.
Final Thoughts
Would I choose to stay at The Boathouses again? The answer is a resounding “yes” for a quick getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, even with the need to drive around a bit. We spent most of our time in South Hampton and East Hampton, where we discovered stunning water views and breathtaking homes. The local restaurants and shopping experiences were exceptional, and we even took the opportunity to relax and embrace family downtime at the residence.
Lastly, I must commend the planner/concierge for her outstanding assistance. She guided us through the best local restaurants, recommended bike rentals and tours, and possessed an impressive knowledge of all things Hamptons!
